STORM SPRING CLINIC AND COMBINE (7YR TO 15YR OLDS)
WHAT: Join us for our annual 3 session Football Clinic designed to
prepare your boys for a successful fall tackle football season and provide players
new to tackle football or our program an important introduction to our Storm coaches
and returning players.
The clinic focuses on football fundamentals, agility drills and an approach designed to expose the participants to ALL positions, while providing skill specific instruction
for the more advanced player and includes the Speed & Strength University Combine
($40 value).
The clinic is a non-contact drill based camp, so no helmets or pads will be required
(mouthpieces recommended). The clinics are led by Pinnacle High School
coaches. Each skills session is facilitated with the assistance of former college
football players and current Storm football coaches.

STORM/SPEED & STRENGTH U COMBINE
WHAT: Speed & Strength U brings their expertise to the Storm and facilitate the Combine.
Knowing where your skills stack up is one of the key ways to improve anything -
especially an athlete's performance. This one day event offers athletes an
opportunity to see how they compare with their peers and identify areas for
improvement.
The combine includes:
* Fusion sport laser and hand held 40 yard dash
* Pro agility drill (5-10-5)
* Hand held three cone drill (L-drill)
* Standing broad jump
* Vertical jump
* 60 Yard Endurance Agility Test
* Hard copy of results same day
* Results posted on Phoenix Storm website

NATIONAL YOUTH SPORTS (NYS)
The Phoenix Storm Football Club teams participates in the AZ Youth Football League. The goal of our program is to always seek out quality opponents. AZYFL"s flexible schedule provides our organization the opportunity to continue long standing rivalries and a competitive schedule.
Registration with the Phoenix Storm Football Club offers the most comprehensive registration package of any team in the Northeast Valley. Click the link below for details regarding registration fees, a comparison of our league and benefits. Some highlights are Custom Jersey, Custom Compression shirt, Custom Bag (all kept by the player). We supply practice jersey, game and practice pants and game day socks. Players are responsible for helmet, shoulder pads and mouthguard. Note specifically that the Phoenix Storm requires a white helmet and navy or black facemask prior to participating in any game.
Our teams also receive Coaches gear, game film, lined practice fields (Practice locations are Wildfire Elementary, Explorer MS and Pinnacle High School).
We anticipate finalizing rosters in June, 2024. We are seeking coaches to support our 9U and 10U programs and depending on demand, we may field multiple teams at 12U and 13U which will require additional coaching support. The Season:
Practice: Pre-Season Practice will be held 4-5 nights per week for the 6 weeks prior to the start of the season at either Pinnacle HS, Explorer MS or Wildfire Elementary. Once in season, teams will practice 2 nights per week at Pinnacle High School.
Games: Phoenix Storm home games are played at Pinnacle High School (new field installed in 2023). The AZYFL projects an 8 - 10 game season including playoffs beginning Mid September.

Fees: $575 before June 1st. $600 Late Registration
Onsite Fitting - June
First Practice - July 29th or August 5th (Pending Details on Start of AZYFL Season)
First Game - September TBD

Registering your athlete to play Phoenix Storm football is not a guarantee that he or she will be placed on a Storm team, or otherwise obtain a roster spot. Once the online registration is complete, the Tryout Tryout (unless otherwise notified) will be our player evaluation/tryout to assess your athlete’s skill level. Based on his/her skill level and the needs of the available Storm teams, your athlete may or may not be offered a roster spot. In the event that your athlete does not obtain a roster spot on a Storm team, you will receive a 100% refund of any registration fee, less a 3.9% processing fee if you registered for a team that is identified as Unavailable We anticipate finalizing teams by the end of June. Please read all of the details during the registration process.

PHOENIX STORM CHEER
PHOENIX STORM CHEER IS BACK!
We are excited to have you join us in our 2nd season of cheering on the Storm football teams, training cheerleaders in cheer technique, spirit, tumbling, stunting, dancing and FUN! This program is for cheerleaders 1st grade to 6th grade and will have the opportunity to have cheer, tumbling, stunting and dancing classes taught at Centrestage Dance Studio located in the Scottsdale airpark. These cheerleaders will grow in self esteem, team building, cheer, tumbling and dance skills, flexibility and confidence.
We are excited to welcome you to be CENTER STAGE with STORM CHEER!
Practices will start Monday, August 7th and go through the end of the fall Storm football season. They will be held on Mondays from 3:45-5:15pm and include learning chants for games, dances for half time shows at games, tumbling and stunting. We will cheer at the 10am Storm football games that are held at Pinnacle High School starting September 9th (approximately 7 games). This will give us time to practice and let the weather cool down before we strut our stuff!
Cost for the Storm cheer program will be $200
Please see the Schedule & Forms Section of the website for additional uniform cost. Returning cheerleaders will need to only order the new bow and any items they need replaced or outgrew.

UPDATE - 10U, 11U CAPTURE NYS CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Congratulations to our 10U and 11U teams led by Coach Reid and Coach Ahlstrom on their hard fought wins. Both teams demonstrated focus and an ability to overcome adversity to secure their first of we are sure many Championships. Coach Powell's 12U and Coach Krewson's 13U team fell short in their first foray into unweighted football. Each team managed the transition well and over performed, finishing runner up in the very competitive D1.

7 STORM TEAMS ADVANCE TO NYS SEMI-FINALS AND 4 MARCH ON TO CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY.
Building on the success of 2021 that saw 3 Storm teams capture NYS Championships, 4 of our Storm teams play on November 19th to cap of fantastic seasons with Championships.
Saturday's Schedule:
13U Storm Navy vs 13U Elite Bears - 10am McClintock High School. Coach Krewson seeking his second straight NYS Championship, advancing to the Championship game with a dominating win over the WV Spartans.
12U Storm Navy vs 12U Chandler Lobos - 2pm Mountain View HS. In a rematch of last years' 11U Championship, Coach Powell leads his undefeated team to Mesa. 12U Storm Navy advanced after a hard fought semi-final against the 12U Storm Silver.
10U Storm vs 10U Elite Stars - 2pm Pinnacle High School. The top seed in D2 defeated the Canyon View Jr Jaguars in the semi-final and Coach Reid has his 5-2 squad ready for the 10U Elite Stars
11U Storm vs 11U Raiders AZ - 4pm Pinnacle High School. Another top seed in D2, 11U Storm have cut their teeth on a primarily D1 schedule in 2022 with increasing success. The Anthem Jaguars provided a good challenge for the Storm 11U in the semi-final, prepping them for a Raiders team on the rise.

CONGRATULATIONS TO COACH POWELL, COACH KREWSON AND COACH LEWIS ON THEIR 2021 NYS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
We applaud all of our players, coaches and parents who made the 2021 season a success, which included 5 of our 8 teams making it to their Championship games.
STORM CLAIM 3 NYS STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The 11U Storm, led by Coach Erik Powell cruised to their second straight D1 Championship defeating the Chandler Lobos in the Championship game. The team finished at 8-1, avenging their only loss on the season by defeating the Lobos twice in the playoffs.
Coach Krewson's 12U Storm team equaled the task by settling the score with the Scottsdale Firebirds, winning their D1 Championship game and ending the season at 8-1. The game was broadcast live on YouTube by Varsity Sports and can be replayed here: 2021 12U Championship
Coach Ron Lewis earned a second straight NYS Championship, this time leading the 13U unweighted Storm team to the D2 Championship. The team overcame adversity throughout the season with their "next man up" mentality and demonstrated their improvement by crushing the Yuma Coyotes in the Championship.
